Very true. The question is, what are we, as a society, going to do about it? We are fast approaching the point where craven concession to even the smallest (seemingly innocent) demands will spell danger for all of us. We are facing an enemy that wants nothing more than to destroy our society, and our values, whether by terrorism or more insidious means. Benign tolerance is no longer an option.

Absolutely nothing at all. Society is fragmented and at daggers drawn. There is no fundamental agreement any more as there once was. I have a culprit whose door I can lay the blame at but not many would accept it.

The smarter Islamists know they can never win on the battlefield, but they figure there’s an excellent chance they can drag things out until Western civilization collapses in on itself and Islam inherits by default. That’s their game plan.
