    Is that Verity as in “The ” Verity. Hallo Bel . You seem to be ” One of us ”

    I like this place its quite up my street I also enjoy winding up the Greenites .On the other hand I think there probably is something in it. I would suggest cutting VAT from green products and offering tax breaks on eco friendly cars .By this means under the guise of some dubious science a government might get away with numerous stealth tax cuts.

    Welcome, newmania. Good to see you here. And I agree, there are some tasty tax carrots to be had from all this environment talk. Perhaps someone should tell Gordon Brown to put the big stick away. And while they’re at it, Cammy-baby and the new-look Tories might want to take note.

    ..or use the stick on the Benfits side where it is still woefully lacking despite Labour plans to remove tatoos in the latest back-to-work carrot fest. I daresay you saw that stuff in the DT.

    Cammy-baby…..shudder. I do support David Cameron though despite misgivings and seriously wish to be rid of Labour.I shall have to be nice to you.

    Can’t believe Newmania has just found this site. Shocking and sad premature death. I hate hand-wringing but you have to ask whether this could have been prevented.
